Time to go back to reality.
Sono stato assente. Per un po'. Mi sono chiuso a riccio in un momento di grande cambiamento. Ho cambiato lavoro, città, sto cambiando casa, nuove persone sono entrate nella mia vita... Ho lasciato alle spalle due anni bellissimi e importantissimi, che mi hanno fatto crescere, mi hanno cambiato.
In un turbine di emozioni anche questo blog è rimasto a lungo un'incognita... Dal destino incerto. Ma alla fine mi sono reso conto che non me la sento di chiuderlo. Mi ricorda quello che ho vissuto, le emozioni che ho provato e le cose che ho visto. E' stato e rimane una sorta di diaro di pensieri e immagini. Perciò, anche se non so se riuscirò ad aggiornarlo spesso, se per molto tempo non dirò nulla, io comunque ci sono. Se avrete voglia di seguirmi, anche quando non avrò niente da dire o non vorrò dire nulla, io sarò qui. E non potrà che farmi piacere.

I've been absent. For a while. I closed myself up like a clam, in a time of great change. I changed job, city, I'm moving to a new house, new people have come into my life ... I left behind two wonderful and important years, that make me grown and changed.
In a whirlwind of emotions also this blog has been a sort of unknown variable... With an undefined destiny. But in the end I feel that don't wanna close it. It reminds me what I experienced, the emotions I felt and the things I've seen. It is and it remains a sort of diary of thoughts and pictures. So even if I don't know how often I will be able to update it, if I won't say anything for a long time, in the end I'm always there. And if you want to follow me, even when I don't have anything to say or I don't wanna say anything at all, at least I'll be here. And it will make me happy.

Obsession of the Day: Au jour le jour

Ultimamente sono ossessionato dalle stampe. E dalle felpe. Sono nel periodo print oriented.
Eviterò di dilungarmi sul perché di questo mio bisogno fisico (anche perché non l’ho ancora capito)… E comunque non ci dev’essere per forza una ragione a tutto, no?
Sta di fatto che tra i vari acquisti Kenzo e MSGM in questi giorni sono ossessionato anche dal marchio Au Jour le Jour. Avevo già notato la collezione tempo fa, e avevo tentato di reprimere la mia curiosità.
Invano.
Le menti creative del progetto sono due ragazzi giovani: Mirko Fontana e Diego Marquez Monsalve. Il debutto della loro linea è datato 2010. Finalisti a Who’s on next nel 2011, attualmente vendono le loro creazioni in tutto il mondo.
I riferimenti stilistici delle loro collezioni sono molteplici: colore, stampe, citazioni vintage e nuova enfasi sui volumi.

I'll avoid to explain why I have this physical desire (because I haven't figured out yet)...
Anyway, there's not a reason for everything, right? Among the various Kenzo and MSGM purchases, in these days I'm obsessed by the Au Jour le Jour brand.
I had already noticed the collection some time ago, and I tried to restrain my curiosity.
Vain.
Vain.
Two young boys are the creative minds behind this project: Mirko Fontana and Diego Marquez Monsalve. The debut of their line is dated 2010. Finalists in Who's on next in 2011, they are currently selling their creations all around the world.
The stylistic references of their collections are different: colour, prints, vintage references and emphasis on new volumes.

Inspiration needed.
Ci sono giorni in cui le cose proprio non funzionano...
Resti a fissare lo schermo del computer nella vana speranza di riuscire a fare il tuo lavoro, di scrivere qualcosa di decente sul blog che non aggiorni da mesi, di dare un senso alla giornata...
E poi ti ritrovi a fissare delle immagini, ti perdi nei colori, e immagini di essere altrove...
Ecco, oggi per me è uno di questi giorni.

You remain seated in front of the computer with the vain hope of being able to do your job, to write something decent on your blog, to give a sense to the day...
And you find yourself looking at some pictures, you get lost in the colors and image to be somewhere else...

DEBUTTI (1)
Uno dei più discussi debutti della settimana della moda parigina che si è da poco conclusa è stato quello di Alexander Wang da Balenciaga. Il ventinovenne americano di origini asiatiche ha infatti preso il posto di Nicolas Ghesquière, che era alla guida del marchio da 15 anni... (da quando ne aveva 25! A proposito... qualcuno sa dirmi che fine ha fatto Nicolas???)
One of the most discussed debuts of the Paris fashion week has been the Alexander Wang one at Balenciaga. The twenty nine year old American/Asian designer has in fact replaced Nicolas Ghesquière, who has been the leader of the brand for 15 years... (Since he was 25! By the way... Can someone tell me what happened to Nicolas? Where is he?)
Venuto alla ribalta nel 2008 dopo aver vinto il CFDA/Vogue Fashion Found Award, un anno dopo aver lanciato la sua prima collezione femminile, è diventato in breve tempo uno dei più influenti designers.
Il suo tributo al maestro Cristobal è stato lineare e pulito, a tratti classico. Un'esaltazione dello stile della Maison, uno studio delle forme declinato esclusivamente in due colori: il bianco e il nero. Il tocco di Wang è riconoscibile soprattutto nell'uso della pelle, da sempre uno dei suoi segni distintivi.

Style Profile: Florence Welch
Artista eclettica e carismatica, Florence Welch è l'anima dei Florence and The Machine. Giovanissima (26 anni, anche se dimostra più della sua età), ha uno stile che riflette notevolmente la sua personalità. Pantaloni, stampe cachemire e jacquard per il giorno, volants, pizzi, trasparenze e dettagli preziosi per la sera.
Voi cosa preferite?
Eclectic and charismatic artist, Florence Welch is the leader (and soul) of the Florence and The Machine. She's young (26 years, even if she seems older in my opinion) and talented, and her style reflects greatly her personality. Generally she choose trousers, cashmere and jacquard prints for the day; ruffles, lace, transparencies and precious details for the evening.
