The fashion month is over. Paris Recap (part deux)

...
PARIS FW: Round two. Chek it out.

CHRISTIAN DIOR

The setting of the show is a sort of seaport. Models on the runway are young travelling girls in oversized jackets and micro dresses. Lots of prints and fluo colours, shorts and high heels (John, are you sure that all your shoes fits to the summer temperature?). Nice the contrast of feminine and masculine, great punchy accessories. Funny all the sailor caps.

Is this a summer shoe?

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI

An experimental collection for the Roman designer who tries for the first time elements as leopardskin prints and linear cuts. New proportions and drapes are combined with trasparencies and bright colours especially yellow and orange. Lovely the little dresses and  the flat shoes designed for the modern it-girls (such as Giambattista's friend Bianca Brandolini D'Adda).

GIVENCHY

I have to say that I expected more from Riccardo Tisci this time. I think I have already in mind his last wonderful Couture Collection (it was also my first post here); that was superb. This time the show is certainly powerful and sensual but unconvincing. Strong is the Black&White and the feminine&masculine contrast, nice the work on leather and chiffon.  Modern dark girls on the runways also in trasparencies, leopardskin, strong make-up and slim silhouettes.

HERMES

This is probably going to be the last Jean-Paul Gaultier's collection for the Maison...
A very sexy woman on the runway, a chic cow-girl dressed in leather (of course!). The DNA of Hermès is certainly well represented in all the outfits, from the slim jackets to the trousers, and of course in all the accessories: the belts, the boots, the hats and the It-Bags. Wonderful the setting: horses and riders at the beginnig of the runway conceived as a stable.

LANVIN

I have to say that I really had problems in choosing the outfits for the post because all the looks were amazing... This is just a little selection but I think that Alber Elbaz is doing a great job at Lanvin. He is bringing the Maison into another level. The collection is feminine, chic and every piece is wearable. Fluent dresses, clean proportions and a really interesting research. Drapes, appliquè, prints for a modern and complete collection, full of different references and styles. Wonderful also the colour palette: from black, grey, beige to all fluo colours as yellow, fuchsia, purple... I love all the monospalla (don't know the translation) dresses and the accessories, in particular the necklaces and the flat sandals.

To be continued...

Sui chiari mi terrei su colori come: Mistral, Rose Gloss, Rose Insolent, Rose Conditionel, Organdy.
Se invece vuoi farla veramente contenta ti cosiglio di prenderle Khaki Vert (che ahimè puoi comprare solo in boutique a 25 euro).
    Spero di esserti stato utile.

PS.

    Buona ricerca!!
