The fashion month is over: Paris Recap (part trois)

I had to finish the speech concerning Paris Fashion Week... Here's the last part (sorry for the big delay). Check it out.

LOUIS VUITTON

Marc Jacobs took inspiration from the East for this collection.
Strong colours, transparencies, shiny fabrics with a lot of lurex and paillettes. The woman on the runway is charming and sexy with referencies to the twenties and thirties (especially in the fringe dresses). Cool the exit of the models with the fan (see last picture).

This reminds me a sort of Armani look

MIU MIU

A pop collection, with strong colours and prints.
A touch of fluo in every outfit; animals, flowers and stars applied on the pleated dresses. Leather jackets, graphics, and high heels to complete the look (the effect is a little bit cartoon). Great shoes.

STELLA McCARTNEY

An easy-chic collection. A contemporary look, really clean and minimal. Stong cuts and linear proportions.
Neutral is the colour palette (white, beige, light blue) with the exception of the yellow. A summer print has been the object of a wild discussion in the front-row... some loved it, others hated it. What do you think?

Here's the famous print

VALENTINO

Très romantique. On the runway airy dresses for a charming and delicate woman.
Great manufacturing in every single outfit: trasparencies, ruches and needlework. The Code of the Maison is respected but interpreted in a different and younger way: the bow is little (most of the time on the belts), and handful of pois and flowers are appllied with the "esprit couture" typical of the brand. Lovely the accessories, especially the handbags and the flat shoes (while we can forget the high heels)...

YVES SAINT LAURENT

The collection is complete, sober, well-executed and very linear in the proportions. Just a touch of colour in the outfits (especially orange, fuchsia and green). A nice work on the body: in the cuts that reveal the skin, in the little belts, in the trasparencies, in the blouses and in the use of bows and ruches. A new sense of femininity and elegance.

That's the end guys... ;-)

See you soon.

  15. I can't say that Louis Vuitton reminded me so much of Armani but I got your drift. They do personify a chic, elegant Parisian woman.

Other than that, I actually thought some of Miu Miu was a bit generic and Stella was too basic for me. YSL is always a nice conservative charm though!
